At Simplify3D, we have the opportunity to work with customers all around the world that are involved in additive manufacturing. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were quickly contacted by customers looking for ways to put their 3D printers to use to assist with worldwide supply chain shortages. This page was developed as a central resource that would make it easy for others to get involved. Combining the insights from our in-house engineering team that spent hundreds of hours test-printing top PPE designs with the feedback of over 40 organizations worldwide, we developed the Lessons from the Field series. It provides detailed information and best practices for printing each unique PPE item needed in the fight against COVID-19. To date, these materials have been used to produce over 1 million PPE items that were donated directly to healthcare workers, and we’ve made it easy for others to get involved.
